How To Play Ice-Breaker Bingo
The purpose of playing ice-breaker bingo is help a group of people introduce themselves to each other,
and start to get to know each other. It can therefore be useful for classes, social events, and business
The way that the game is played is:
Each member of the group is given one of the ice-breaker bingo cards.
They members of the group are then told to circulate, talk to other members of the group, and get people who
match the descriptions on their bingo cards to sign matching squares. It is best to place a limit on the number of
squares a person can sign on any particular bingo card - say 1 or 2 squares per person.
The winner of the game is the first person to get a winning pattern of signed squares (say two intersecting lines of five).
In the event of a tie, or nobody achieving this goal before the time runs out, whoever has the most different signatures on their
card is the winner.
Note: While it's good for players to have a little competitive spirit, it should also be remembered that it doesn't really matter
too much who wins - the main purpose is meet the other people in the group, and for players to introduce themselves to each other.
Click Create New Bingo Card Project... (or click New... on the File menu).
A dialog box will appear. Click the Events tab.
Select Ice-Breaker by clicking it with the mouse (you may need to scroll through the list), then click OK (or simply double click on Ice-Breaker).
You are now ready to print your bingo cards, or you can customize them (using colors and fonts, by deleting unwanted items or adding new items, changing the bingo card size, etc.) before printing if you choose.

If you Register your copy of Bingo Card Printer, you will also be able to customize the list of items,
by removing any unwanted items, or adding your own additional items.
If you select this bingo template: The software will initially generate a set of 5X5 bingo cards with a free space in the center square, but you can turn off
the free space if you wish. You can also generate 3x3 or 4x4 bingo cards from this item list if you wish.
Additionally, you also have the option of generating larger bingo cards (6x6 or 7x7 squares),
but you would need to add more items if you would like to do that.
If you would like to see a bingo game produced using this template, containing 8 bingo cards and a call sheet, please download
ice-breaker-bingo-cards.zip. The ZIP archive also contains the BCP settings file
which you can open in Bingo Card Printer to customize the project, as well as
a README.TXT containing the License grant and other information.
Note: The PDF in the ZIP file contains a call-list, even though this is not normally used when playing
most variations of ice-breaker bingo. We have included it for completeness, and just in case you come up with
a game variation where one is required. If you do not need the call-list, you can simply ignore it.
